The Recording Club ยท bundle v1.5.2 ยท any Mac, any user, no secrets in the download
๐ฏ Put the room id and the code in, copy, paste into Claude Code on the room Mac.
Downloads rr-room-bundle-v1.5.2.tgz, checks it against the published
sha256, and refuses to unpack a mismatch.
The bundle carries no token and no secret. The installer posts the one-time code to the door
over HTTPS and writes what comes back into ~/trc-room/env, mode 600.
install.sh --json reports every step as pass, fail or needs_human with the exact
remedy. Claude fixes what it can and re-runs. The installer is idempotent.
It reads the RehearsalRoom2026 DAW session, unmutes the channels the band hears live,
writes RehearsalRoom2026_NODAW and registers it. A person is asked only when there is
nothing to derive from.
The load-verb probe, the test counts, the LaunchAgent actually loaded, the room reading online at the door. Not a claim that the files were copied.
| Step | Why a human is needed | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| preflight_clt | Command Line Tools can fall back to a GUI installer | Click Install in the dialog, say so, it carries on |
| login_items_background | macOS will not let a script grant background permission | One toggle in Login Items & Extensions, it opens the pane for you |
| system_settings | sudo needs a typed password | Type it once. Everything admin runs in that one prompt |
| auto_login | FileVault blocks auto-login outright | Turn FileVault off, or accept a human login after reboots |
| console_detect | UAD Console is a licensed download | Install it from uaudio.com first |
| live_preset | Only when the DAW session is missing, or every channel is already unmuted | Usually nothing. The installer derives the Play Live session from the DAW session and registers
it. If it asks, save the session in Console and run
bash ~/trc-room/add-live-preset.sh <file> |
rr-enroll-code studio-c
Mint a new one. Reusing a spent code answers already_used and the installer stops
rather than retrying.
bash ~/trc-room/uninstall.sh --purge, get a fresh code, paste the prompt again.
Nothing in the install is destructive.
